From the very beginning of your house hunt to find your perfect rental, we at Elderton’s will work with you to find a property to suit all your individual needs. Our lettings team will provide you with every inch of our expert knowledge to guide you, safe and sound, through the entire letting process, from property viewings to move day.

We’ll only take you to properties that we think match your criteria and one of our team will always go to viewings with you. We understand that finding your perfect home can rely on trial and error so we always welcome honesty from all our rental hunters, then we can cut straight to the chase and further understand exactly what kind of property you’re looking for.
THE RENTAL PROCESS
Step one: Nice to meet you – Come in and see us, tell us about your dream property and arrange some viewings.
Step two: Viewings – See a number of properties and find your new home.
Step three: The holding deposit – Place a holding deposit of 2 weeks rent and the property will be taken off the market.
Step four: References – We’ll then organise the relevant references. We use HomeLet referencing, where you can fully track and keep an eye on your referencing process.
Step five: Almost home – On completion of the successful reference checks, we’ll provide you with all the contracts, arrange further deposits, an inventory and any other related documents, as well as preparing the property for your move – including maintenance, appliances, cleaning, relevant certification updates and safety checks (gas/energy performance).
Contracts: Before you move into your new home, we’ll send you the contract, well in advance, so you can have a good read of every nook and cranny prior to signing on the dotted line.
Step six: Home sweet home – On move day we’ll meet you at the property to hand over the keys, show you how everything works and to sign the contracts and the inventory – we’ll go through the inventory with you as we walk through the flat.
